Quite nice. Better than the previous bottle. Cherry, menthol, plum, dried orange rind, and nutmeg. Maybe a touch of cardamom. Palate is silky and drives on a sweet earthiness. Just slightly more than balanced acidity lingers forever on the finish. I'm a fan.

Opened for 2 hours but not decanted for an office party, it compared favorably against a Broadley version and an '09 St Cosme Les Deux Albion CdR. All about $20. This wine has a nice and dark ruby color which hints at the extraction. It's deep but not overbearing. The fruit runs black > red and melds with the earth and tar notes. Not quite enough to call it oputstanding but pleasurable. Not bad for a Florida Dermatologist who sets up shop to make world class tempranillo in Oregon near a drive through zoo. Is that a hint of giraffe I'm picking up?
