Had with halibut that had a rich mushroom, serrano, fennel butter sauce. This was close to stunning. Evocative nose of crushed stones, flowers, apricot and citrus. On the palate this has both weight and zippy acidity. We loved this wine and the pairing.

One of the better whites I've had in a while. Nose has light apricot, flowers, spice and stones/minerals, suggesting a Condrieu. But the mouthfeel was a bit heavier than that. It had a waxy almost thick/honey sensation, but finished with nice acidity and persistent flavors.

Pinots at Campania: Bright, lemony nose. Not heavy with stone fruit. Concentrated, somewhat full-bodied. Not overly sweet. Smells a little sour on the nose. Okay.

The intense color and thick texture of this wine reminds me of a light Sauternes. Wonderful citrus, flower, honey, and earthy spice components really make this a monster white. Definitely a ripe fat wine with a touch of heat but there is acidity present and the balance is good. The complexity, waxy mouthfeel, and honeyed finish are truly compelling. Maybe I just really like the Copain whites but I think this is a stunning elixir.

Great Italian Night in Vancouver (A Nice Italian Restuarant): Very faint nose - not much of the floral approach I expect. Sweet, loose entry on palate. A bit short on the finish. Competent, but not exciting at all.
