It is wonderful to enjoy a Wine at its peak. After a 30 min decant, pure California elegance. Dark fruit with raspberries, leather, and mint lingering in the distance. Silky smooth on the palate that tastes as good as it smells, which is rare. More please. DJV

Agree with previous taster. Spot on. This wine has a lot life left in it. Just had it yesterday and finishing it off today. Fruit is greatly integrated. Everything is in perfect balance and harmony. One of the best if not THE best producer in Sonoma.

Beautiful wine. I opened this and had a few sips as a PnP - it was throwing off some serious faded fruit, little bit of a new world funk (not old world barnyard), and I thought oh well, looks like this one is past its prime. I went out to dinner and kept the wine open in the bottle and came back 2 hours later. Completely new wine.
The fruit had really opened up- dark, purple mountain fruit, soft tannins. Hint of vanilla, dusty leather. Cherry/blackberry.
Seems like most reviewers thought this one was a bit past its prime. I recently had a 2005 that was also a great experience. I have a 2007 I will check in on soon, but in the meantime, I am looking into a few more 2006 bottles to purchase on Wine Access.

Not quite connecting like I had hoped from my earlier tasting notes on this wine. A decent Napa cab for sure but nothing at all stands out. This is my last bottle which is fine as obviously this wine wasn't meant to sit.
