I bought a case of this wine on release and thought that I had long ago finished it off, but I unearthed a bottle while doing some cellar reorganization. I didn't have much hope for this wine as it had never been much more than a simple, light, pleasant red quaffer, but I was very nicely surprised. This had tons of barnyard on the nose, which was something it had never shown before. Still lots of fruit, although more blackberry/plum than the bright cherry fruit it used to have. Full-bodied, balanced, and a nice mouthfeel. I never would have expected this wine to develop like this, but it really improved, and I was fortunate to have had it (one bottle, anyways) at perfect maturity.

Earthy yet with good berry fruit from the Grenache I suspect. Not a bad wine for the price and for a change of pace
