Light burnished gold in the glass. The aromas are intriguing with a Sauternais profile of honey, apricot, beeswax, and cantaloupe. The palate is rich and supple yet finishes edgy and crisp. Yellow fruits, spices, petrol, and apple pie. Super surprising that a domestic Viognier has held up this long and has actually improved with stunning complexity, balance, and persistence.

Two years since last bottle, but still showing plenty of flowers, fruits and some stones. Lacks 'sufficient' acidity, but seems to have gone from a 'flat' feel to a more round fuller one.

Anwar brought this to the Haggis aloha party. 14.3% alcohol but it really did not show very much if at all. This had a very nice fruity nose. Notes of pineapple, prickly pear and some spices. 89-90 points.

Really beautiful and clean on the nose with floral citrus components like orange blossom and gardenia combined with good minerality. Intriguing waxy flavors of bitter citrus, grass, and spices backed by an overall impression of sweet fruit and taut acidity gives this great depth in the mouth. The flavors continue through the long dry finish and pair well with poultry and seafood dishes. This is not quite as fat and ripe as the other Copain whites I have had so I think it might be a tad more food friendly. Superb.
