Absolutely gorgeous tonight with grilled rabbit-ginger sausages. Red-fruited, balanced acidity, smoky, mineral-laden and, with time, smelling of baking spices. I wish we had more of this wine.

Smoky and floral at once, with lots of chocolate and coffee notes, this wine’s nose wells with intriguing tones of cacao powder and cola. A core of ripe red cherries and berries appears in between it all, reflecting an interesting combination of New World fruit and Old World inspiration.
The palate is very ripe, rich, and plush. The same smoke found on the nose makes itself known in the flavor profile, with Old World notes of stone and suede showing in the background. This gives way to tones of cola and coffee with a faint herbal quality and a lightly dusty element. This is a fascinating wine, showing ripe red fruits at its core, countered by fresh acidity, as well as a vast array of secondary notes that make it very complex and enjoyable.
Clear with medium deep garnet color, Nose dominated by fruit, spice and oak. Medium to high acid levels with medium body. Palate is in line with nose with dark cherries, and some earthiness...more Burgundian than California in style. Nice length and complexity. Needs more bottle time.

Dark aromas and flavors in a nicely medium bodied wine. Black cherry, spice, earth, and coffee nuances with a lot of depth.

Great nose of dark cherry. Palate of cherry and light cola. Medium plus finish.
