  I remember very much enjoying this wine on release though a bit too intense at that young age. Now calmed slightly but still sappy cool climate Central Coast Pinot Noir flavors. Deep ruby in color, lovely acidity and balance. Save the next one for at least five more years.

  After thirty minutes of air, bold nose of raspberries, black fruits, and minerals. The palate is structured and very full in the mouth with flavors of black and red fruits, herbs and spice. Overall this is quite a good quaff today and it is not overdone in anyway. On the other hand it comes off a little four square without the depth or sophistication to see if develop further.

  One Fun-Filled Afternoon Spent Poolside with Friends (Los Olivos, CA): Nearly ten years old, and firing on all cylinders. A seamless wine, absolutely no edges. Sweet cherries and plums, with touches of fennel and mint. Acid, fruit, structure — harmonious, confident, powerful.

  Drinking window says past it’s prime. Not so. A relatively big Pinot Noir that is juicy and tasty. Great tonight with Chicken Parmesan.

  Casual Friday sip at ES. Thick wax-sealed top. Poured into decanter and drank over 2 hours.
  Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. Legs.
  Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of gamey meat, cigarette smoke, perfumed red flowers, orange peel, and sweet red cherries. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, high acidity, high alcohol, firm grippy medium+ tannins, full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet ripe dark red cherries, red plums, smoke, sweet spices, cinnamon, salty minerality. Long hot finish.
  Very good quality. Still a somewhat elegant Pinot Noir despite the high alcohol and full body. Soft fruits on the entry but the firm structure reveals itself towards the finish.
  Lovely complex nose. It's the sweet ripe fruit and high alcohol that give this away as a New World rather than Burgundy.
  Drinking well now with a short decant. Can still develop a bit more over the next 5 years.
  From Cargasacchi Vineyard located just off Sweeney Road at the far western edge of the Sta. Rita Hills appellation. Vineyard planted since 1998. Owned by Peter Angelo Cargasacchi who contracts the fruit to other winemakers such as Brewer-Clifton.
  Pinot Noir Clone 115.
