Short note today. Color: medium dark red. Nose of pipe tobacco, cherry, mint, pencil box, leather, coffee. Mouth: round, full and balanced, intensely fruited and savory. Finish: medium. Made we wish I'd begun following Napanook before the 2007 vintage.
This was just opened. There is a bright red fruit nose. The fruit is medium to full bodied. This bottle showed good concentration, complexity and a good deal of acid. There is also good persistance. It is young but I believe this may blossom to be even better in a few years. Good value here.
Ok ....like the last note. This gets better as it opens. A huge nose, medium body and a nice finish upgraded from 91 to 92.
This drank well for 4-5 days after being re-corked and refrigerated. It did not fall apart...got better actually.
