  • Well defined ruby in the glass. Fruit forward nose, proposing a very appealing play between dark cherry confiture aromas and pain d'epices. This shows quite good depth with the spice undercurrent functioning as supporting and enhancing element to the fruit. Good fruit concentration on the palate paired to thirst quenching freshness and grainy tannins, that are well distributed and ripe enough. Quite elegant and stylish. This is a relief and after the last bottle opened, confirming that was definitely flawed. Rebuy: yes.

  • Clean ruby colour. Candied cherry and sweet spices with some barely detectable vegetable notes. Rather understated but well assembled. This shows a good level of tipicity. The palate is well flavoured with sour cherry but contrary to my previous note this seems to be lacking concentration or rather, the fruit is there but fades away in the mid palate to be then taken over by an overacidic edge. This impression stays on for a few seconds in the finish. There must be some (not so evident) bacterial spoilage here.

  • A limpid, transparent ruby in the glass. This starts off with quite a oaky accent that generates dark, animal overtones at fisrt. It goes on sweet and jammy with reasonably intense spiciness and cherry compote reminiscences to the fore. The palate shows good concentration and a high degree of freshness. Some faint astringency, coupled with grainy tannins, does not prevent it to achieve good balance. Dark cherry jam impressions here as well. This is good value.
