  • Dark, deep, and jammy, on the nose this wine is filled with blackberry and blackcurrant preserves. A dusty edge of chalk adds just a whisper of minerality to an inky, dark fruit core, with just a bit of chocolate covered blueberries and a faint herbal note floating around in there somewhere.

The palate is full, deep, and surprisingly spicy. Flavors of cherry, blackberry jam, and black pepper show at first. The core of this wine is jammy, with a volcanic minerality giving it backbone. It’s dense and complex with an ever changing flavor profile and a certain meatiness. Baked goods and toast appear on the finish and there is a very faint hint of chocolate at the very end. Overall, this is a well balanced, interesting wine.
