  The bottle was in excellent condition (maybe 1cm?). No bricking or cloudiness. Garnet color. On the nose it felt like a shell had cracked revealing another side of Chambertin: something that was always there but now was in the forefront. On the palate it was so smooth - it went down too easy.

  Pre-2002 Rousseau Dinner (WS NYC): Bursting from the glass with layer upon layer of bright fruit aromas. Palate was deep and finish was extremely long and lingering. #2 WOTN.

  extremely smoky nose. bit darker than mazy. very rich, luscious, round fruit with lots of grip and smokiness. sadly, some brett contamination.
