  • Drinking wonderfully. Great dense cherry and raspberry fruit. Good mouthfeel, great length. Good now, but will be interesting to see how it develops over the next few years.

  • Deep dark center, red rim with some modest signs of age.
Intriguing nose of violets, candy floss, iron, sweet cherries, rice crispy treats, stewed plums.
Smooth, but with structure (good acidity), a little chalky, more strawberries and raspberries than darker fruit, acid kicks back in, modest alcohol, some oak in there, bing cherries on the finish, good length.
Great Beaujolais that is much closer to Burgundy. Drinks okay now with food, but has the acidity to last and improve for the next 5-10 years at least (probably longer).

  • Was enjoyed at the Thanksgiving table and I give thanks to the French for ongoing support to the U.S. in the form of still-affordable beautiful wines like this. This is perfectly aged now with a sappy dark fruit core still held firmly together with background minerality and joined with some saddle leather and earthy notes and hints of spices.

  • A powerful, lot of fruits, full body and well made wine.

  • This is so far from a stereotypical image of Beaujolais. For some time ago I still did not know that this sort of Beaujolais can exist. This is a great Beaujolais wine, and a great and elegant French wine in general.

The nose is refined, with some surprising cigar box, tobacco and pencil aromas referring to a Bordeaux wine. The taste is full-bodied, fruity and thick, with stylish flavors of ripe dark cherry and other dark berries, smoke and tobacco. On the palate the wine is like that from Northern Rhône region, but it is very delicious all the time. Again, a great experience, a wonderful wine.
