Disappointing, quite different than other reviewers. Was reminiscent of other Rhones not so well balanced--a chemical, barnyard nose, but harsh. Could be too young, but for a number of these wines (not ChdP or better northern Rhones), they simply seem chemical, harsh and don't soften. But, we will wait awhile, because nothing about it appealed now. Second day, no different.
Color was surprisingly light. More of of a dark garnet. Expressive nose with lots of fig and plum fruits. Palate shows plenty of fig and blackberry flavors with notes lavender, and iron chiming in on the finish. Very nice.
