Definitely past prime, but we got it for free. Plasticky magic marker & fake red fruit on the nose, one-dimensional jammy fruit palate, some acid on the finish but not very tannic. Simple and synthetic. Also feels hotter than 14% ABV. If I had spent $8 on this, I would be bummed.

Opened at home with some Tandoori shrimp and chicken that Pam made. Thought I had this at a priends house once, but definitely not the case. I picked this up at the Class 6 on base for cheap, so I thought we'd give it a try. Very supple tannins, and not 100% sure that I really got a good feel for them. Definite smoke and spice up front, almost over powering. Alcohol also seemed overpowering to the rest of the fruit...possibly black fruits? Good guest wine, but not if you are trying to impress them. Would purchase again at price.

Not initially overpowering, but the taste builds and becomes quite strong after half a glass. Very dry and a little tart.
