Wow, this is drinking so well at the moment. Ripe yellow apple fruit, with some lime aromas as well, and a hint of smoke atop it all. The palate is light as air and only moderately sweet, and the minerally extract coats the palate so powerfully. The balance is impeccable, and the wine still seems like it has years to continue to evolve and much more to give. But for the love of all things Riesling, open one now and try if it if you've been waiting. I decanted because the cork broke and fell into the bottle, by the way.
Better than the last bottle. Pale straw color. A little deeper, more tropical than the last bottle. Still some floral and petrol notes, with some pineapple and citrus. Good acidity, not as spritzy as the last bottle.
Weekend Supper with Friends (TLV's): Light color. Initial note of sulphur dissipates quickly, leaving white peach, petrol and stone fruit aromas. Richly fruited on the palate with hints of petrol as well, all balanced by a good level of acidity. A beautiful wine with a long life ahead.

(Donnhoff Schlossbockleheimer Felsenberg Spatlese) Nice wine. Nose of lime, lemon, minerals, quartz, creamed corn, wool. Very deep nose. Palate has the best acids of any '02 Donnhoff I have tried. Supple and delicate with nice concentration and a beautiful dissolve on the finish. Lemon candy flavors linger on the finish. Minerals linger after the lemon is done lingering too. Will last a while too. Very pretty, elegant and lacy Donhoff.
