  • This was probably one of the very best Mas Jullien I had the pleasure to drink.
Beautiful nose. Mineral, graphite, dark fruits and garrigue notes. Palate is structured but at the same time delicate. Resolved tannins. Similar palate and long finish. So good!

  • From Paris with Love, 2017 Edition; 11/18/2017-11/19/2017 (Paris (La Tour D'Argent & La Grande Cascade)): Decanted and served. Surprisingly on the young side and with very little evolution on the fruit and almost no secondary feel.
Very interesting to cross paths with this wine for the first time and really impressed at the quality here. Good dark fruit, pure wine and in no way pushed. Good rich fruit, in tune with the wine and nice round tannin feel. Would have love to see more evolution which will hopefully add more complexity to the wine to match the depth of flavor here. • Fantastic wine. Dark red fruit with animal tones, great depth and structure, good acidity, not unlike a Bordeaux. Has kept up well with the fruit carrying the wine along.

  • We had this in Paris accompanying a great dinner at Carre des Feuillants. Perhaps I was a bit tipsy by the time we got to this, but my wife and enjoyed it a lot. Sort of an old-fashioned Bordeaux profile with a tad of rusticity; the Mourvedre in the blend provides a slightly exotic, savory element. The wine remains dark and somewhat uninvolved, auguring well for at least another 7-10 years of development and probably a lot more.

  • Dark purple. Young, sleek and polished fruit on the nose combined with a whiff of farmyard. Clearly a very young wine with abundant and prominent red fruit. Intially I find that the wine is marked by wood which is surprising as Oliver does not use new oak, but as the wine settles in the glass the wood marks dissipates and a peppery (white), spicy profile emerges. The wine has an elegant side to it, it is not heavy or big by any means, but as time goes by I sense that the fruit is drying out on the back palate which is a small concern. Interesting wine to drink.
