Beautifully balanced and drinking at what I would consider it’s peak - I really don’t know how it could get any better but do wish I had another tucked away to find out!

Just over 50% Cabernet (from Barossa and Langhorne Creek), 40% Shiraz from McLaren Vale and 9% Malbec from Langhorne Creek. Blood red. Fragrant red berries, coffee, and a slight herbal note on the nose. Tobacco leaf? I could almost have thought this has some Cab Franc in the blend. Some vanilla as well. The oak (20 months of new and seasoned French and American oak) is present but not overwhelming. Lovely intensity and length in the mouth. Rich and clearly new world but with great balance and persistence. Drinking well now but should live another decade with ease in a good cellar.

Deep dark inviting colour, coats the glass with legs, inviting nose into a rich red wine. Blackcurrant, tea, plums in a very good spot right now but still time to go if you wanted.

Big, dark & dense.
A bit of heat on the finish which was distracting.
Oak still very prominent.
Has potential, needs more time - hold.
