Good Barolo and Barbaresco (67 Pall Mall): A welcome last-minute addition to the line-up. Oh so good - this is sexy wine. Gently floral nose, with some ginger to add intrigue. Admirably fresh on the palate, with plenty of fruit remaining. Showed similarly to a bottle in 2022; there's upside here for good bottles. My #4 wine tonight.

Nick A's "Good Barolo and Barbaresco" at 67 PM (67 Pall Mall, London): A generously opened additional bottles from the cellars. It's tight and so young for a wine of its age but there are some delightful red fruit, thyme and smoky notes on pouring. With air a little rosehip and some slightly high toned strawberry. Some caper too. Palate is more open than some but still on the tight side. Quite cerebral for me.

Nick’s Barolo and Barbaresco (67 Pall Mall, London): This showed tremendous potential, with lovely underlying pure red fruit and a sense of complexity but was still quite tight, reined in and there was a touch of swimming pool about it too. Again, not sure if this is fully representative. NR

Opened around noon and left to breathe in the cellar. Drunk over dinner with friends, no TN. This is a great Barolo and is drinking beautifully now, possibly at peak, but no risk of declining.

Nick's "Good Barolo and Barbaresco" Dinner - Friday 22 March, 67 Pall Mall; 3/24/2024-3/25/2024 (67 Pall Mall): A slight dusty note at first, then some very pretty red fruits. Very fine. Still relatively youthful and vibrant not showing that much age.
