Popped and poured at 56 degrees. First sip was very tight, but it warmed and opened up beautifully in 30 min. After a couple of hours, it was fantastic. It's possible this was past its prime, but it's hard to imagine it being any better. If you have any, drink it now. Smooth, rich, and round with that fabulous Paso terroir.

Pop and pour, consumed over two hours. Dark and inky, slightly sweet nose, relatively simply. Palate of typical new world cab/bdx blend - some dark fruit and spice, med oak/vanilla, med tannins, alcohol notes. Short finish. In sum, this wine has pretty good oak/sweetness/acidic balance, but the alcohol notes cut through and the whole thing feels a bit rough and disjointed. Purchased for about $20 from woot, wouldn't buy again, but not a bad QPR.

Inky ruby. Cassis, leather, oak, and spice nose. Full bodied, blueberries, blackberries, pepper, some tart cherries in the mid-palate, chewy tannins, tobacco, dark chocolate, and a medium to long finish. A little rough and woody, but still pretty good.

Loved this wine. Double decanter. Bold, fruity and a hint of spice. So nice.
