Hard to believe this is 15 years old, also hard to believe this was the first Cemetery Clay Mauritson bottled. Really fantastic wine, still holding up. Gorgeous blackberry flavors, dark plums, now developing some secondary notes. Absolutely killing me that they have grafted the vineyard over to Cab. I think that it will be fantastic for that as well, but as far as I am concerned, this was one of the best Zin vineyards in existence, and the wine was my favorite Zin of all.

Black fruit forward with huge tannins, still tasting it minutes later. Settles down after being open a bit. A really awesome offering that may have some aging potential for a zinfandel ! Highly recommended

Deep ruby/garnet color. Rich nose of pit fruit and spice. Flavors still intact but showing a little bit of age. Well received by all.

Very dense and rich. Almost too rich, a little hard to drink, but good.
