OTH as expected. Cherry and stewed prunes aromas. Stewed prune and bitter flavors. Never designed to go to this age and it didn't. Part of a large purchase and wasn't expecting much.

Aroma: Initially closed; opened with air; spicy; floral with some wild herbs. Noted a little violet.
Body and flavor: medium-full bodied; dried berries, especially raspberries; flavor of sage and rosemary. Although 14.5% ABV, no alcohol apparent in flavor or nose. Very little tannins.
Aftertaste: lingering finish. Again, dried berries and fruit.
Paired with beef tartine and blue cheese and walnut ravioli. Quite a treat! In my opinion, if you still have bottles, enjoy one now and savor the rest over the next 2 - 4 years.

What a great surprise. This wine had a great balance of fruit, spice and tannin. Mouthfeel was generous and pleasant. Still had the $18.99 price tag from when it was purchased. Wish I had more than just this one bottle.

This was quite good, with pleasing blueberry flavors and some interesting secondary nuances developing. Some remarked on anise, which seems to be an apt description.

Ripe fruits, convey typical Shiraz character, flashy pepper, almost like wasabi, but short finish.
Close but not yet 90+
