  Am Ende des Trinkfensters und über dem Höhepunkt. Hat aber noch Druck und Säure. Einfach kein Jahrgang, der so gut altert.

  Blind tasted it, Immediately guessed it is Barolo with some age, and guessed it was relatively modern producer. Mushroom, balsamic, and leather on the nose, on the palate, fruits were relatively linear but got good amounts of minerals, tar, and roasted herbs.   A. Conterno B. Cicala 1995 vs 2001 vs 2008:
  - Weine 6 Std. vorher geöffnet, nicht belüftet
  - 2008 schön und intensiv. Tolle Frucht. Konzentriert. Noch einige Tannine. Aber schön rund, balanciert und schön trinkbar.
  - 2001 seidig. Insgesamt leichter, runder. Immer noch schöne Frucht. Hat sicherlich noch einige Jahre vor sich, auch wenn er vielleicht nicht mehr besser wird.
  - 1995 dagegen etwas weniger komplex. Starke Säure. Frucht jetzt zurückgetreten. Noch kein feuchtes Leder. Auch noch 1-2 Jahre vor sich, wird aber sicherlich nicht mehr besser.
  - Für mich ist heute der 2001 der klare Sieger

  Opened 8 hours before drinking and then decanted right before serving. A beautiful and classic Barolo. Not earth moving but throughly enjoyable with grilled rib lamb chops marinated in Dijon mustard, balsamic vinegar, garlic and olive oil.

  Toller Wein.
  - Farbe leicht bräunlich an den Rändern. Aber insgesamt noch sehr konzentriert für das Alter
  - Frucht noch präsent, toll integrierte und runde Struktur! "Feuchtes Leder" nur ganz wenig
  - Zarter Schmelz und langer Nachhall
