I know it is cliche, but these things age at a glacial pace. Deep and dark with still firm tannins, and an occasional whiff of distracting vanilla on the nose. A fine $20 wine, but not really showing much secondary complexity or nuance, which kind of begs the question of whether it is worth the time in the cellar.

Purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of leather, cocoa, currants and berries. Flavors of berries, cherries and raspberries. Medium acidity, medium tannin, medium to full bodied. Drink now with some air or continue to hold.

Lasagna Dinner at Karen's House with Italian wines (Princeton, NJ): What a neat wine, Notes of currant, cherries, herbs, and tar. A deep, dark wine with still quite a lot of tannins. Went ok with the meat lasagna but really best on its own.
Drink now but it has time, too. Perhaps 5+ years more?
