Still alive. Golden, touch of amber. Clearly mature but in a good way. The Viognier very much to the fore, all apricot and ripe peach. Touch of fresh citrus fruits Plenty acidity and good length. Flavours of ripeness and dark dried fruits. Complex and intriguing but probably at or very near the end game.

FWS Languedoc Roussillon Class 2020; 7/14/2020-7/15/2020: Not sure the exact blend on this. The back of the bottles says equal parts Viognier, Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Petit Manseng. The website says something very different for this vintage, so who knows. When first opened the color stands out, gold, bright gold. The nose also smells sweat, this blew off after it had been open for a while, I should have decanted it. Baked Apples, jasmine, and honeysuckle. This taste like Puligny-Montrachet and Condrieu had a baby. Likely drinking at its peak, but no rush.

Now this is lovely! From the King of Languedoc! This lovely Blanc is a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier and a splash of Petit Manseng and Chenin Blanc. Light gold amber, its quite refreshing with bits of honey, apricot, citrus and floral elements.

Yes, it was on its edge, but beautifully balanced, definitely enjoyed the wine, The hint of the age was balanced by a note of apricot and apple.

A magnificent Mas de Daumas Gassac vertical from the private cellars of Allard Jakobs (Restaurant Sinck, Amsterdam, NL): Magnum. Deeper and richer style than both the 2013 and 2011, deeper colour too, honeyed, flowing and energetic.
