Popped and pour; would have been better if we had let it sit in a decanter for a couple of hours, but still enjoyable right out of the bottle. Big wine that needs a few more years to develop. Dark fruit, black pepper and smoky medium plus tannins.
Decanted for 30 minutes, then had with Sausage dinner. Interesting aroma that can best be described as Raman Noodles. Red fruit, savory taste. a little on the lighter side. Went ok with the food, but as a sipper seemed to not be as good. Just ok...Probably not worth the $27 sale price...Would drink again, but not seek out and buy
Popped and poured, but next time I will give this about an hour. Nose of red cherry, flowers and alcohol. Full bodied with nice chewy texture. On the palate, raspberry liquor, red plum, cherry cobbler, baking spices, vanilla, oak and some tar. Agree this has a short to medium finish right now. Big new world style. Drinking fine, but I will wait 2+ years for the next one to see how this mellows - decent value.
