  • Popped & poured. Pretty gold/straw color. Reticent nose with slight aromas of white flowers and citrus. Medium body with good, fairly ripe fruit, as well as minerality and some nutty nuances. Solid acidic core and lots of citrus notes, particularly toward the back end. Long, pleasant finish. Very nice CM that successfully straddles the line between being representative of its terroir, yet a bit on the fleshy, modern side likely due to the vintage. I look forward to tasting this wine again in the not-to-distant future.

  • This wine was significantly different on the second day in a way that made no sense to me. It was initially nutty, with ripe fruit and good balance and acidity. The next day it was fresher, with floral, citrus and white fruit notes and minimal nuttiness. There was lively acidity and excellent balance.

  • First time I’ve tried this vineyard from PYCM. Clearly the product of a warmer vintage, this leans towards riper and concentrated flavours of white and yellow stone fruit, nuttiness, and some oaky toast rather than citrus and overt minerality. Nicely textured on the palate and while ripe, there’s enough acidity to give this good line and length. Reckon this is good to go now.

  • PYCM Chassagne Masterclass (Basement, 67 Pall Mall): Magnum. On the nose this is a slightly subdued version of the 14. Quite ripe and rounded on the palate, some of the floral, honeyed notes on the finish. There's power here, but just enough freshness on the finish. ****

  • golden straw tight nose first off medium body somewhat fleshy sweet orchard fruit balanced in the nice finish with tart citrus salinity; by the second glass some cinnamon? on the nose, tension arrives at the start now with citrus joining the stone fruits, no issues; lovely ***_****
