  • Aerated to decanter (and off the sediment) for 2 hours. Med+ ruby, little sign of age. Aromas lean toward black fruit, some old leather, Tuscan dust/soil notes, and some lovely blue/purple flowers. Full-bodied, beginning to unwind, but the tannins are still holding somewhat firm - it's drinkable, for sure, but I think I'd prefer to see it in 3-5 more years, at which time I think it will be much more harmonious; last drop was the best. Easily recommended, and may well 'bracket up' in the coming years.

  • one of the best wines I've had. This stuff was fantastic. Deep red color, gorgeous nose and a long, long finish. Just superb! Can't say enough and at a reasonable price point as well. I can't get enough of the Super Tuscans.

  • I love this wine. It is fantastic. Great fruit, excellent tannins, certainly on the heavier, fruit forward side of things but comes off complex and multi-dimensional. JS called it "Colgin of Tuscany." I'm not sure about that exactly but it is very, very good for sure and way more affordable than Colgin of course. I'm also a huge fan of the Volpolo Sapaio Bolgheri and other Italian super tuscans. They are a great find at this point and most aren't crazy expensive.

  • deep color and gorgeous aroma. Good balance plus a little different. Just a tad short on the finish. Not quite the depth and complexity of a Napa cult cab as its been compared, but definitely a valiant effort, especially for an Italian wine. I would buy this again, especially at this price point.

  • Dense, tannic, and unforgiving right now. Needs a decade before this might provide any interest for me. A chore to finish.
