Probably among the better whites I have had. I like viognier so that makes sense. Nice citrus and almond notes with great acidity. I was hesitant to buy this wine given the price, especially since I'm a red guy but Matthias delivered as usual. Excellent wine, should not have drunk it so quickly!

This had a citrus and almond nose. When tasted,I got orange zest, almond, and vanilla. Lush and very dry. The flavors linger for minutes. Really quite lovely. Left some for day 2.

Blind Night (Kevin): 100% Viognier. Cloudy yellow color. Orange blossoms on the nose. Tastes of apples and lillies. Waxy mid palate. Good freshness. Noticeable oak backbone. Full bodied. Rich finish. Quite rare with only 250 bottles or so made of this. This wine seemed to be quite controversial within the group. No one could guess the varietal blind however it seemed quite obvious to me however I was the one who brought it.

Fascinating wine. I think this is Viognier, and it certainly tastes like it, with tropical and citrus fruits. Strong streak of apricot, Grand Marnier, and orange peel. The acidity is awesome in terms of keeping the balance with the copious amounts of fruit. I'd guess that this wine will be better in a year, although some decanting at this point is helpful.
