This is a dark opaque red version of this varietal wine that we opened tonight to celebrate the Oregon Ducks Rose Bowl victory. The nose is black currant, leather, tobacco and subtle herbal aromas. The taste is full bodied, with a very fruit forward start but complex and layered middle to a roundish tannic finish that rolls off the tongue and palate. Very enjoyable, drinkable now but could go 5 to7 more years if desired
