Decent. Popped and poured. Shows some VA, lots of oak, diacetyl, and dark fruit. With time, some balance improves the aromas but it's still pretty aggressively tannic on the palate. The VA doesn't go away and after a night, the wine tends to fall apart.

A dark full bodied Cab Franc from this Illinois Valley producer, ruby red with a nose of cassis, black olives, vanilla, white pepper and esters. The palate is a tart fruit, layered middle with acid, fruit and tannin, this is a a drink now at 5 years old. The Balance is there but may not last many more years.
