Quite satisfying. It has a kind of linear, perhaps one-dimensional profile I sometimes find with Washington cabs, but very solid and extended. The age is showing well, definitely not over the hill but quite complete. Might get more.

Bottle age has helped this wine. The alcohol, tannins, and any oak, are relaxed and blended in. Texture is velvety smooth, and the wine isn’t too hot from alcohol.
Very first tastes upon opening were sweeter blue and red fruit. After a bit of time, the easier side of dark red and purple fruit were notable. Including Cab Franc, instead of Cab Sauv, created the easy-going nature of the wine. Finish included hits of light spice, graphite, maybe just a hint of dark cocoa as well. The nose, which was very tight at first, became a good deal more expressive after just 30 minutes of being open.

This wine offers a rich silky mouthful of fruit, tobacco and leather flavors. The tannins are fully integrated. The finish taste like mocha.

Consumed over 3 nights (magnum). Very nice each evening, without much change.
