| - 1992 Ridge Lytton Springs - USA, California, Sonoma County, Dry Creek Valley
Lighter red than the other wines in this tasting. Raspberry nose. A little bit medicinal. Plums, mushrooms. Very tasty. Tasted blind. Correctly guessed as a Zin. My #1, Group's #2 (92 pts.)
- 1992 La Jota Petite Sirah - USA, California, Napa Valley, Howell Mountain
Darker red than the other wines in the lineup. Fantactic nose with a good concentration of fruits and herbs. Refreshing palate. Tannic. Still feels like a young wine. Tasted blind. Correctly guessed as a Petite Sirah. My #2, Group's #1 (91 pts.)
- 1992 Edmunds St. John Syrah Grand Heritage - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley
Nice raspberry aroma with a little bit of brett (borderline acceptable). Lots of brett on the palate (too much). Tasted blind. Correctly guessed as a Syrah. My #5, Group's #5 (87 pts.)
