  • 2000 Domaine de Chevalier - France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan
Leather, stables, black berries, herbs, cedar, medicinal, black cherries, rather light with good acitidy. (90 pts.)
  • 2000 Château La Croix St. Georges - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol
Brussels sprouts, beetrot, vegetal, but a very nice mouthfeel, seemed somehow to be an off bottle
  • 2000 Château Ferrière - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux
Always a funky wine with the high share of Petit Verdot, this had some plum pie, bacon, cedar and peppermint. Again quite light and elegant, but delicious and harmonious (92 pts.)
  • 2000 Château Léoville Barton - France, Bordeaux, Médoc, St. Julien
Black cherries, cinammon, hazelnut, warm, sweet and delicious (94 pts.)
  • 2000 Château Pavie Macquin - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
Bacon, lactic, red berries, blueberry yogurt, tar and herbs. This has developed incredibly well. A beauty (96 pts.)
  • 2000 Château Clos St. Martin - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, St. Émilion Grand Cru
Some barnyard notes, cigars, espresso, roast aromas, beautiful texture, dense and a very long finish. Great now! (95 pts.)
