Tasted double blind, this wine impressed immensely. It unfolded with numerous layers of flavors, showcasing typicity and an elegantly structured profile. Seductive and ripe, yet remarkably balanced without any excess. In contrast to a bottle last year that deteriorated swiftly and failed to impress, this one displayed no such frailty. 96pts

TN: This wine leaps from the glass with intense aromas of ripe dark red and blue fruits, complemented by ashy minerality, sous bois, and toast. Superbly complex and with a lot of clarity. On the palate, it presents the same rich spectrum of aromas, achieving a beautifully balanced interplay of seductive fruit and refreshing minerality. The tannins are very fine, good freshness and a silky texture without any excess weight. Quite complete.

This wine was a revelation and one of the absolute best wines on a 2 week trip to France. Off the list at a fabulous restaurant and followed over a couple days, the 19 village Meursault is remarkably impressive. It was actually my first experience with a Coche Dury white outside of the Bourgogne blanc, which I found underwhelming. Instead, the 19 Meursault really sings, with some reduction, but just amazing richness and, to borrow a word, plentitude. Ginger snap, vanilla, pastry cream, lemon curd, and lots of midpalate depth. It held up very well in bottle and I had the good pleasure of drinking a 2021 by the glass alongside. The 19 was the better wine by a wide margin. (178 views)

No notes. Generously shared. First aged and village lieu dit from Coche. An absolute treat to taste, color dark as you would expect from a ~25 year young wine but the palate was extremely young which was mind bending. Parker 100 Pointer Lunch, tasted blind: Tasted blind. Lots of cocoa on the palate, and an attractive, soft palate. so I was guessing an elegant rendition of a Rioja, like the Alta 904 for example. It was nice to drink, not overly complex though. (354 views)

So I have a mixed record with these. Many early Coche 2000’s have been hit with the premox bug. But when we get a good bottle, yowza. This one is just perfect. White burgundy paragon. But a drinkers version. Not too precious or too sculpted. This is real wine in every sense. The color is just starting to golden. The nose calls for attention: prickly pear, wood spice, honeydew melon, match smoke, white tea. Or maybe better - this smells like good Sh*t mature Chardonnay. The palate follows like Fall on Me after Begin the Begin. Perfection. Again - this is for drinking not prophesying. To my palate, wine like these get lost in tastings with 10 vintages of Montrachet and Corton Charlie. To drink as the sun goes down with a special person sounds to me a better path. It's been three and a half years since our previous bottle of this wine and this bottle was even more enjoyable.
Decanted for 30 minutes but continued to improve in the glass. The color was a clear medium plus yellow. While lemon is the primary note on both the nose and palate, the nose also had some stone fruits and some minerality. The medium to plus bodied palate also showed the minerality, then added touches of peach, yellow apple and even a bit of honey, all bathed in zippy acidity. Given our experience here, it's possible that this wine will develop with more time in the cellar. However, even if it doesn't, it certainly will hold. (151 views)

Really agree with Glou.SF’s recent note. This bottle was nicely developed, with good nuttiness and butterscotch, very round in the mouth, long and luxurious. This was enjoyed with a meal at Troisgros and worked really well in that context. Ready to drink now though if our bottle was representative. A 12 Meursault Perrieres tasted alongside had much more runway left. (100 views)

Small pour, given to me blind. Youthful color is hardly showing any signs of development. Really amazing sense of transparency. Stony minerals give off an almost Chablisienne feel. I guessed 2011 Raveneau Clos. Wow. (182 views)
