Popped and poured. Fully mature and quite nice out of the bottle, still some fruit and decent finish, as a reminder of what it once was. But drink fast because it rapidly declines. Started about a 94 and declined to a 90 over an hour. (22 views)

Dark reddish-purple color with no signs of aging. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & plums with overtones of garrigue & floral notes, pepper & Provençal herbs, earth/dusty notes, spices, minerals & a slight hint of oak in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, strawberries & plums with herbs, pepper, some spices, anise, cocoa, minerals & a hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing. At 9 years of age, it is only at the mid-point of its development. It should develop further with additional aging at which time it may rate even higher (94+). Fully mature and quite frankly a bit tired. Palate was a bit muddled and not as complex as I would hope. May have needed more time as as this was PnP, and did improve a bit in the decanter, but just an uninspiring performance. (46 views)

I thought that was Syrah, but it was actually the 20% Mourvedre. Super plush, spicy, "Asian spice" per Josh Raynolds, quite an intense wine that still is quite primary. (409 views)
