Radiant for the Radian vineyard! Powerful aromatics, Sta Rita hills crunch red fruits with some salty mustardy power. Super savory, a little richness to go with plenty of acidity makes this shine. Nice bottle 👍👍 (124 views)

Crazy aromatics leap from the glass like warm blackberry/cherry pie, brined olives, spring flowers, damp earth, fennel, and white pepper spice.

Palate is medium to full bodied with layered red and black fruit that is not excessive or overripe. A distinct savory note enters mid-palate along with lots of minerals. Finish is medium long, silky, with fine grained tannin still poking through and brisk acidity that keeps it feeling fresh.

Overall, excellent cool-climate syrah that is reminiscent of northern Rhone. In a good spot now, but no rush. Drink 2024-2026. (127 views)

Consumed over 2 days (stored in Somm du Vin), note from day 2. Appearance: Clear, medium lemon-gold. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with aromas of steel, pear, apricot, licorice, and sage. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium body with a slightly creamy mouth-feel, medium+ intensity, 14.5% abv with developing flavors of apricot, lemon tart, and pear with a medium+ finish.

An excellent effort still youthful on day 2. Feels surprisingly lean for carrying 14.5% abv. Will likely benefit from 2-4 years of aging. (320 views)

Drank from a Zalto Den'ark Bordeaux glass.

Super expressive nose bursting with plum sauce, crushed berries, dried herbs, faint tobacco or cigar box, orange peel, olives in brine, and faint white pepper spice.

Palate shows red berry fruit up front, then lots of earth mid-palate, and a mix of both on the finish that was slightly dry and a tiny bit astringent. There is also a little bit of furry tannin left that fleshed out with air. Overall, good wine, I think my previous bottle was slightly better.
