Retail $15. Ridiculously Light Bottle (461g; 1lb 0.2oz). Under agglomerated stopper. 100% Sangiovese. A good friend brought this over and, unbeknownst to him, we were having grilled chicken (or a version of), and this was a fantastic match. Well-played. Medium color with a great nose of red berry fruit, a touch of smoke, and plenty of earth. The palate is equally compelling with all the above plus a zingy tartness that brings it all together. Very nice. Very Good. 89 Points.

Color: Dark red with a hint of brown edge
Nose: floral, violets at first, syrah like. Some heat and smoke, horse blanket.
Palate: jammy fruit, more floral, hint of acetone, dusty. Smoky earthy but also acidic. Very bright on the finish. Crushed oregano or lavender. Chocolate.

This is my first supertuscan and I'm very impressed by the complexity. Pnp, this was ready to go. Great QPR. (304 views)

Really enjoyed this wine and was set up to hate it. Drank with a zucchini carrot cake (savory) with tzatziki sauce and an angus burger.

Fantastic nose. - earthy and fruity. Almost a truffle essence. Still really good acidity and fruit. It is a little thin, but still good structure. Might have scored it higher. Finish was quite long (294 views)

Good value at $25. The merlot and Syrah dominate the nose and flavors, dark fruit, slightly metalic/mineral. The Sangiovese mostly comes through as a nice acidic backbone. Not much of the cherry/sour cherry. Good with a wide variety of foods, it probably not red sauce Italian. (358 views)
