Pleasant on the palate. Red berry and strawberry aroma and on the palate. Surprisingly good for the young age. Consumed after a 2015 Sonoma single vineyard reserve pinot and held up quite well. Clear garnet in color. Shy nose of black cherry and black tea. Matching dark fruit palate is medium-bodied with medium tannins: high for a bottle at this price point. A really nice Willamette with a semi-Burgundian ethos at a bargain price. If you haven’t taken the plunge into America’s “go to” region for the Black Pinot, this is a worthy entry point. Pale crimson in color, this wine shows muted red fruits of black currant, raspberry as well as subtle forest floor. The mouth feel is very light with predominate cherry and pomegranate elements. The finish is short with soft tannins and low levels of acidity, causing it to fade quickly. 13.5% abv. | ||||
