N.V. Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Cuvée No. 741 Dégorgement Tardif (France, Champagne) 5/16/2024Collector185594

Dinner in Reims. Discrete nose at first, then opening up with bruised apples and spices, lime. The oxidation is gentle, not intrusive. Dense palate, dry, feeling brut nature almost. Definitely a food chamapagne. Can keep further. 94-95 (161 views)

2002 Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Dégorgement Tardive Extra Brut (France, Champagne) 5/12/2024Shay.Aldriedge93

My second bottle in the last month, and both showed identical. I think I expected a bit more verve here (being 2002, late disgorged, Jacquesson), and while I enjoyed both, I feel like this was probably at peak a few years ago.

57 Pinot/43 chard. Almost 15yrs on lees.

Deep gold, channeling some amber, in the glass. Low effervescence. If you love mature champagne, this is up your alley…aromatics of truffle honeycomb, espresso, caramel apple. Oxidized, but not overly so. Wonderful entry on the palate with grilled lemon, lemon cream, apple crisps, nougat and an easy to sip mid-palate (wish there was more tension). Layered, nutty and mature finish. Alongside a bottle of ‘02 Krug, this felt like it was 5-7yrs older. Pop and enjoy. (52 views)

N.V. Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Cuvée No. 746 Extra Brut (France, Champagne) 5/10/2024jtsejersen@gmail.com95

"Pure magic - Wow!!! First time I try the wines from the hands of the mighty Jean-Hervé. The base of this 746 derives from the 2018 vintage plus 30% older reserve-wine. 70% Chardonnay + 15/15 Pinot Menieur/Pinot Noir. Oak, low sulfur, no filtration, 3 grams of dosage, 42 months sur latte. I definitely sense some intense depth - maybe because of the oak? But it doesn’t dominate the flavor. Intense with citrus, flowers, oxidated apples, dried fruits, nuts and a little vanilla toffee - Awesome freshness and depth!!!" (317 views)

N.V. Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Cuvée No. 744 Extra Brut (France, Champagne) 5/10/2024Bolognese Diner92

A great Champagne, starting with very simple notes of green apple, citrus, and significant minerality. On the palate, it expresses all its savoir-faire with a truly remarkable creaminess and persistence.

Un grande champagne, parte su note molto semplici, mela verde, agrume, mineralità importante. In bocca esprime tutto il suo savoir faire con una cremosità e una persistenza davvero ragguardevoli. (283 views)

2012 Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Cuvée No. 740 Dégorgement Tardif (France, Champagne) 4/17/2024sergio1996

Great champagne. Late disgorgement of grapes of 2012, pas dosé. Elegant and fine perlage, fantastic nose: lime, dried flowers, toast, spicy and slightly smoky notes. Rich, balanced and fresh in the mouth. A bottle that can be stored for another 10 years. (57 views)

N.V. Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Cuvée No. 743 (France, Champagne) 4/13/2024Klugi Wine93

Really enjoyable Champagne.
Bouquet starts with creamy, peachy notes, mixing some hazelnuts and brioche into the flavor profile. With time some verbena and lemon zest com to mind.
The bubbles are quite intense but very fine. Medium body it has quite a good length.
Would guess it can be enjoyed easily another decade. (951 views)

N.V. Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Cuvée No. 739 (France, Champagne) 4/8/2024The Drunken Cyclist92

Retail $60. Exceedingly Heavy Bottle (890g; 1lb 15.4oz). 57% Chardonnay, 21% Pinot Noir, 22% Pinot Meunier. 69% based on the 2011 vintage (31% reserve wines). Brilliant straw in the glass with plenty of citrus and loaded with the autolytic element (think freshly risen croissants), this is what one looks for in champagne. Add in some white peach, a bit of spice, and a mineral element and this nose is top-notch. The palate is bright, tart, rich, and layered with plenty of fruit, a nutty component, that flaky croissant component. There is also a tough of greenness here, no doubt a result of the less-than-stellar 2011 vintage. But that is a merely nitpicking; this is fantastic. 92 Points.

Classic toasty yellow citrus nose. High acidity, fine bead. Round and full palate, again playing the standard repertoire, but expertly presented. Excellent, though qpr could be better. (686 views)

2005 Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Dizy Corne Bautray Extra-Brut (France, Champagne) 3/22/2024melvinyeowq89

Champagnes and Rieslings at Cutlery Optional: Another oxidative champagne which I think led most to guess a Pinot dominant blend. But there was an austerity that made me guess it as Chardonnay dominant instead. Fruit lacked vibrancy, so I guessed a weaker vintage from the 2000s. Powerful but rather monotone overall. 2004 Jacquesson & Fils Champagne Grand Cru Avize Champ Cain (France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru) 9/23/2019Ramberg93

Dinner with Jean Luc from Comte Georges de Vogue and his wife.
A lovely start of the evening.
This is a vinous Champagne fermented in oak, and that shows.
Nose is a bit like a white Bourgogne.
Butter, bread, nutty with flowers, apples, minerals and citrus.
Very fresh and lifted.
Palate with baked apples, lemons, chalk, minerals and high and fresh acidity.
Long and complex vinous finish.
A very good bottle indeed. (196 views)
