A weekday in Diessenhofen, pairing with ravioli from globus. Medium ruby color. Red cherries, roses, touch of smoke, white pepper, mushrooms on the nose. Med+ acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, dry tannins and med finish. Smoky, balanced acidity, nice crunchy cherries, lingering salinity, quite likeable wine and what I am looking for in a Nebbiolo from the region. (44 views)

Fruity and rich (for a rośe). Strawberry, cranberry, red cherry, grapefruit and orange. Rich fruityness that is surprisingly ripe without being sweet. Medium + acidaty and body and medium length. This is a super alternativ to all the pale rośes that you get everywhere. The norwagian hype for this wine is real! (49 views)

PnP. Deep salmon in colour. Moderate fine bead. Red-fruited and earthy on the nose, quite expressive. On the palate, this is complex and savoury with good depth and captivating acidity. There is also a sense of tannin here. Works quite well with food. Very good Nebbiolo Brut Rose. (40 views)

I am duplicating a note here that I added for my Ca’ Rozzeria 2016 Boca. The label said Boca, the cork said Davide Carlone. I believe it is the same wine (for those who do not know Rimmerman and Garagiste, he sometimes purchases wine from a producer and sells it under his own Ca’ Rozzeria label). This was relatively high priced for one of these things, close to the winery price, and I can see why:

Drank this over 3 days. The cork said Davide Carlone Boca, and the image on the cork matched the image on the Carlone bottling. This was terrific. On day 2, we paired it with planked salmon, and it was absolutely sublime. Rosalie said it reminded her of a great Pinot Noir, but the color was different. It had lots of cherries, plenty of acidity, and the body of a good Pinot. I should have bought three cases instead of three bottles. (73 views)

Appears to be a well crafted wine with lots of tannin and generally well balanced but not much fruit right now and much too tart for my taste. I plan to keep the remaining bottles in my cellar and try one again in several years. (34 views)

Medium garnet. Cherry, rose, balsamic, baking spices, oak, flowers. Medium+ acidity and tannins, medium body. Slightly oxidised, but still going strong. (152 views)

Over the hill. The cork was a bit loose and there were signs of past seepage. The ullage was more than expected for its age. The color was almost all gone... more like a very pale rose. Not musty and no off aromas, just void of any flavor. Almost like drinking water, with perhaps a bit of a fino sherry note. (67 views)
