Dry and weighty on the tongue yet somehow with wonderful red fruit flavors (I guess I need to eat more red fruit to figure out which ones!). The syrah makes a stand. Reminiscent of the Lewis Cellars Vin Gris Rose. GREAT value. (2306 views) | | Tasted by tacman on 5/21/2010 & rated 89 points: A big rose, the Syrah elements really come through up front. Not your summer poolside quaffing Rose, this stood up to bacon cheeseburgers and then a cigar! Initial nose was reminscent of watermelon, but that blew off and left a great strawberry flavour. (1929 views) | | Tasted by kstoddard on 7/19/2009 & rated 85 points: Light ruby color. Strawberry nose. Tastes of raspberry and earth. Cherry kirsch finish with some spice. Very noticeable heat on the finish. A blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre and Counoise. 15% alcohol. (2036 views) | | Tasted by CADomer on 7/3/2009 & rated 85 points: Very big rose. A little over the top for my taste. (2048 views) |

Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.California2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson Central Coasthttp://www.ccwinegrowers.org/links.html
