Tasted by Justin B on 10/27/2012 & rated 90 points: Time has take the edge of this one a bit, drinking great now... don't wait any longer. Cheers. (2408 views)
Tasted by bvanbower on 9/14/2012 & rated 90 points: Perfect wine for summer in south Florida! Paired well with clam appetizer. (2394 views)
Tasted by prism on 7/3/2012 & rated 90 points: I like this a lot. Beautiful shell pink/orange color, slightly more saturated than L'Aventure's Estate Rosé, which is also a lovely hue. Aromas of Quince and tangerine. In the mouth, just a little tart and nicely so, sweet citrus: ripe tangerine and red grapefruit., some pineapple. (With grilled salmon, grilled sweet potatoes and fresh snap peas.) (2558 views)
Tasted by EricPressly on 6/8/2012 & rated 90 points: Sad to be out of this, as good as rose gets (2513 views)
Tasted by drrobvino on 6/5/2012 & rated 92 points: Weighs in at 14.3% abv, a cuvee of Mouvedre, Grenache and Syrah. Lovely, tart nose of tangerine and grapefruit rind, with light red fruit notes in the background. On the palate, sharp and clean, delivering zesty citrus acid with a fresh creaminess that comes through on the 30 second chalk and tangerine zest finish. A gorgeous summer rose. (2559 views)
Tasted by Redguy on 2/11/2012 & rated 89 points: Great rosé. Lots of tart crunchy red fruits. Good acidity keeps this crisp and snappy. Good length on the clean finish. More of a traditionally styled rosé than I'm used to finding from Paso and the better for it. Great food wine. (1246 views)
Tasted by JDRFoster on 1/30/2012 & rated 91 points: Lovely Paso Robles Rhone blend Rosé. Watermelon, fresh cut hay, and strawberries, with some citrus over a crisp, yet smooth mineral-acid backbone. Let this one sing at around cellar temperature to really enjoy the perfume! (1234 views)
Tasted by GARDEN on 10/29/2011 & rated 89 points: I agree with tp096255 that this is best served at 50 degrees. He was also correct that there are going to be some tartrate crystals. (1680 views)
Tasted by charliesea on 10/25/2011 & rated 90 points: Pleasantly tangy Rose. No notes taken. (1566 views)
Tasted by pagejshawjr on 8/7/2011 & rated 88 points: A solid rhone rose. (1607 views)
Tasted by tp096255 on 8/1/2011 & rated 91 points: Same as last note. Good stuff. (1943 views)
Tasted by tplskylrk on 7/11/2011: Pink w a nice nose. Pineapple, pear on the nose. Big bright fruit, nice. Refreshing acid & well balanced. (1502 views)
Tasted by Justin B on 7/9/2011 & rated 89 points: I always enjoy L'Aventure's rosés and another tasty one this year. Agree with previous TN's, and would have been better if their wasn't as much heat on the finish. Also, don't drink this at refrig temp, let it breath a bit and warm a little. (2195 views)
Tasted by MicklethePickle on 7/5/2011 & rated 87 points: Very dark salmon color. Lots of tartrates on the bottom of the glass right from the initial pour. Alot of fruit in the nose, highly extracted. Somewhat more restrained on the palate initially, then it opens to reveal much more substantial structure, body, and fruitiness. This is an impressive rosé, big-bodied and even rich. 4-11-15-7: 87/100 (1798 views)
 Tasted by tp096255 on 7/1/2011 & rated 91 points: ---
COLOR: Salmon-pink
NOTE: High Mourvedre component gives this a more feral tone throughout, but in a good way. Nose is very much like a grassy, herbal Sauvignon Blanc with hints of cat pee, but that pee quickly becomes grapefruit oil and watermelon. Mouth is wonderfully rich, brimming with strawberry, rainier cherry, rhubarb, pomagranate and toast. Nice glycerin, as always, because this is a 14.3% abv wine. I always love high-alcohol Rose wines, but not many low-alcohol ones. I'm convinced it's the glycerin. The finish still has nice red fruits but drops off after about 20 seconds. These and Donelan Rose wines are my favorites, and yes, I've tasted through Tavel and elsewhere in France. Dense but refreshing for the breed. I'll buy them every year.
Oh yeah, don't forget to put a strainer-pourer on these Roses because they ALWAYS throw a bunch of tartrate crystals that are kind of annoying. I like to serve this wine around 50 degrees.

Tasted by rosesandthorns on 6/3/2011: Cold in the glass, I smelled high toned citrus and some chamomile and strawberries but as it warmed up in the glass, the nose became rounder with pink flowers and berries, and ripe meyer lemons. Tasted delicious and refreshing. Not bracing acidity, more soft acidity but nice little rose. (2007 views)
Tasted by cbkamp on 5/30/2011 & rated 89 points: Nose: Strawberry, cranberry, and other red fruit. Palate: creamy cranberry. Nice balance and acidity. Alcohol is noticeable on the finish. Great wine as always. (2171 views)
Tasted by charliesea on 5/23/2011 & rated 91 points: Gentle, subtle. Delightfully refreshing. No notes taken. (2089 views)

Rosé Blend

"Rosé blend" can mean a blend of just about any varietals since the designation comes from the resulting color of the wine.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
