Tasted by Ben Stewart on 6/11/2020 & rated 96 points: Amazing heavy aromas of sweet leather, cigar box, dark fruit, spices and earthy fresh picked root vegetables. Mouthfeel of sweet ripe brambly black berries with extremely balanced smooth tannins. Long finish of ripe fruit with smooth textured finish. (683 views)
Tasted by rbfoote on 6/2/2018 & rated 92 points: Very deep red colour. Extremely rich and round flavour. Notes of plum, chocolate. Somewhat spicy almost reminding me of a Syrah but this is a cab blend. Excellent choice for someone looking for a full body blend. Tannins nice and soft. (1165 views)
Tasted by PSKC on 2/22/2018 & rated 90 points: good bc bordeaux. nice floral nose. mediun-full body. good fruit and tannin. finish a bit short compare how good the body/structure is. 90 pts (1327 views)
Tasted by broth on 12/1/2017 & rated 92 points: This drinking really well right now. (1163 views)
Tasted by Francois Le Mouel on 7/19/2015 & rated 89 points: Much more expressive than the last time I had it. Good complexity (red berries, bell pepper, oak) - just too much oak for this cooler vintage (love the acidity)...didn't have the weight to support 19 months in oak barrels. hopefully the oak will continue to integrate and maybe it will be more enjoyable in 3-5 years. (2176 views)
Tasted by neilemc on 7/4/2015 & rated 88 points: Inky cassis scents, with tobacco leaf and secondary spice and vanilla. Very fruity and acidic, with jammy red berries and ripe cherries. Just a hint of oak lets the fruit sing. I find this a bit sweet but not cloying. A new world, fruitbomb style claret. Good for BC. (1839 views)
Tasted by charles.thompson@ubc.ca on 6/8/2015: Smooth rich, good character,a great wine (1398 views)
Tasted by chvndwkdwjs on 10/9/2013 & rated 92 points: Fresh fully ripe raspberry and ripe cherry. Medium bodied. low residual sugar. Highly fruit forward, backed by vanilla, chocolate and oak. (2200 views)

Red Bordeaux Blend

Red Bordeaux is generally made from a blend of grapes. Permitted grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and rarely Carménère.Today Carménère is rarely used, with Château Clerc Milon, a fifth growth Bordeaux, being one of the few to still retain Carménère vines. As of July 2019, Bordeaux wineries authorized the use of four new red grapes to combat temperature increases in Bordeaux. These newly approved grapes are Marselan, Touriga Nacional, Castets, and Arinarnoa.

Wineries all over the world aspire to making wines in a Bordeaux style. In 1988, a group of American vintners formed The Meritage Association to identify wines made in this way. Although most Meritage wines come from California, there are members of the Meritage Association in 18 states and five other countries, including Argentina, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Mexico.
