(671 views) | | Tasted by nmichaud1 on 6/25/2020: Assez discret, le vin paraît encore jeune.
2,5/5 (937 views) | | Tasted by kalissa on 6/11/2018 & rated 89 points: Light gold colour. No sign of premature oxidation. A pleasant wine but somewhat lacking in complexity. Medium concentration, well balanced. Certainly not overripe. I am going to drink any remaining bottles this year, I don’t see any upside to keeping further. (1312 views) | | Tasted by Sonoma Duck on 12/17/2016 & rated 92 points: Needed about 30 minutes to open. Drinking really well right now. Excellent drink. I would not wait much longer. (2299 views) | | Tasted by FrancoisD on 11/25/2016 & rated 92 points: Aromes plutot florals. Pointes d'abricot et vanille. Bien ficelé! (1899 views) | | Tasted by TightLettuce on 9/5/2016 & rated 89 points: Decanted and sampled as we cooked. The first hour offered up little to be desired, everything was muted, and what was available was extremely backwards, and almost petrol.
Some time after about an hour, it started to become more expressive. White flowers began to emerge from the glass albeit still rather passively. crisp apple, pear, apricot, cut grass, kissed with floral. Oaking finishes the taste with toasty notes with a vanilla refinement.
Acids are noticeable yet not overwhelming. excellent length and stay on the palate.
Overall 89-90 +potential. Not blown away, and for the price, certainly not impressed. It's a clean, and enjoyable oaked white burg that just falls short of the cut. (2131 views) | | Tasted by Lexer1980 on 7/7/2016 & rated 91 points: Vanilla, vanilla and more vanilla... (2061 views) | | Tasted by Lexer1980 on 11/27/2015 & rated 90 points: Drank as an aperitif straight out of the cellar. Enjoyable and interesting, but we could have 'honoured' the wine more by giving it some time and food to pair with. Luckily, one more bottle in the cellar :-). (1994 views) | | Tasted by ssspore on 9/23/2015 & rated 90 points: Expected more but still good (1065 views) | | Tasted by Old Claret on 8/14/2015 & rated 93 points: lovely drink! (1338 views) | | Tasted by Sonoma Duck on 5/25/2015 & rated 92 points: Pale yellow, took 30 minutes to open. Really excellent with a long finish. (1259 views) | | Tasted by flyinburrito on 2/11/2015: Second bottle; much better than the first with no sign of being prematurely advanced. Pale canary yellow with a slightly bright green tinge. The nose was filled with citrus, wood and earthy truffle accents. The palate was medium bodied and well balanced; mostly citrus with the earthiness creeping up on the back end and leaving a slightly bitter impression. Doesn't scream Meursault but then again Blagny is one of those regions in Burgundy that seems to blend certain characteristics from each of the surrounding villages in the Cote de Blancs. Very enjoyable but another year of rest should make it all the better. (1221 views) | | Tasted by flyinburrito on 2/7/2015: Darker golden color. Muted nose. Feels advanced with its strong honeyed and green apple flavors. Drinkable but not on par with what it should be. (1057 views) | | Tasted by PT insurgent on 9/16/2014: Nose a bit closed and austere - still shows notes of oak, vanilla, spice, lemon, hazelnut. On the palate, notes of lemon, grapefruit, oak, toast, nut, hazelnut, dried flowers. Nice wine. (968 views) | | Tasted by cos65 on 6/29/2014: Boerne wine club - Chassagne vs Meursault vs Puligny: Two bottles. First a bit flat. Second was brighter and sweeter. 2018 vintage: "marked by a wet spring, a superb summer and a good harvest" 2019 vintage reports 2021: "From a general standpoint, whether for white, rosé or red wines, 2021 is a year marked by quality in the Rhône Valley Vineyards. Structured, elegant, fresh and fruity will be the main keywords for this new vintage." 2022 harvest: idealwine.info | wine-searcher.comBurgundy Les vins de Bourgogne (Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne) (and in English)
Burgundy - The province of eastern France, famous for its red wines produced from Pinot Noir and its whites produced from Chardonnay. (Small of amounts of Gamay and Aligoté are still grown, although these have to be labeled differently.) The most famous part of the region is known as the Cote d'Or (the Golden Slope). It is divided into the Cote de Beaune, south of the town of Beaune (famous principally for its whites), and the Cote de Nuits, North of Beaune (home of the most famous reds). In addition, the Cote Chalonnaise and the Maconnais are important wine growing regions, although historically a clear level (or more) below the Cote d'Or. Also included by some are the regions of Chablis and Auxerrois, farther north.

# 2013 Vintage Notes: * "2013 is a vintage that 20 years ago would have been a disaster." - Will Lyons * "low yields and highly variable reds, much better whites." - Bill Nanson * "Virtually all wines were chaptalised, with a bit of sugar added before fermentation to increase the final alcohol level." - Jancis Robinson
# 2014 Vintage Notes: "We have not had such splendid harvest weather for many years. This will ensure high quality (fragrant, classy and succulent are words already being used) across the board, up and down the hierarchy and well as consistently from south to north geographically apart from those vineyards ravaged by the hail at the end of June." - Clive Coates
# 2015 Vintage Notes: "Low yields and warm weather allowed for ample ripeness, small berries and an early harvest. Quality is looking extremely fine, with some people whispering comparisons with the outstanding 2005 vintage. Acid levels in individual wines may be crucial." - Jancis Robinson
# 2017 Vintage Notes: "Chablis suffered greatly from frost in 2017, resulting in very reduced volumes. As ever, the irony seems to be that what remains is very good quality, as it is in the Côte d’Or. Cooler nights across the region have resulted in higher-than-usual acidity, with good conditions throughout the harvest season allowing for ripe, healthy fruit." - Jancis Robinson
# 2018 Vintage Notes: "The most successful region for red Burgundy in 2018 was the Côte de Beaune. The weather was ideal in this area, with just enough sunlight and rain to produce perfectly balanced wines naturally." - Vinfolio
