Tasted by VinCrush on 11/19/2023 & rated 91 points: Still delicious. Even better after being open for a couple of days. If I had another bottle, I’d wait another year before opening. (298 views)
Tasted by Zed57 on 12/20/2022 & rated 94 points: Brilliant. Smooth and complex. Raspberry cranberry nose and a finish that goes on and on. Drinking beautifully and has tons of life (728 views)
Tasted by mwagner7700 on 2/13/2022: Purchased for $63. Decanted for 45mins and consumed over 2.5hrs. This evolved nicely over the night. At first, strong notes of mint and eucalyptus with hints of red fruits. As the night went on, the wine evolved in complexity to showcase more perfume and floral red fruits with hints of Portuguese spice. This is really nice and I enjoy it. Just not sure if it's worth the price. Grade: A- (1181 views)
Tasted by Zed57 on 6/23/2021 & rated 93 points: Settling in nicely. Solid smooth sophistication and powerful. Has time but beautiful now. (1400 views)
Tasted by Nedbassil on 4/9/2021 & rated 94 points: Outstanding wine but needs a good 2 hours of decanting. (1491 views)
Tasted by Zed57 on 1/27/2021 & rated 90 points: It is a serious wine but still feels rough around the edges. Got better in the decanter and may still benefit from more time in the cellar. Mouthpuckering rasberry and bay leaf with carbon like structure. (1394 views)
Tasted by vandal16 on 8/29/2020 & rated 92 points: Traditional Field blend. No way to know the exact breakdown of grapes in this wine. Old vine red that features ripe fruit flavors of plum, fig and dark cherry. Hints of dark chocolate, balsamic vinegar and tobacco. Touch of mineral on the very long finish. A beautifully rustic wine made in a traditional rustic style. (1530 views)
Tasted by PT insurgent on 4/11/2020: Very nice bottle of wine. Nose combining ripe fruit and more tertiary prune and coffee notes with a hint of florality. Palate had medium tannin and medium+ acid, violets, plum, fig, spice, with a hint of vanillin. (1490 views)
Tasted by Wine Buergler on 1/20/2020 & rated 94 points: Last bottle of a case we’ve tasted over 4 years - this was the best. Soft, adapted very well to our movie snack (popcorn) - not as good as the 2011 vintage but right now very close. Enioy (1594 views)
Tasted by wynnewood500 on 8/8/2019: Shared on a family reunion. Delicious! (1751 views)
Tasted by PT insurgent on 5/17/2019: Nose is a bit dirty, bacterial, not clean. But also showing notes of tobacco, cigar, raisin, eucalyptus. Palate showing tobacco, cigar, ash, prune, raisin. Good structure, OK, good wine. Tasty but nothing super remarkable. (1816 views)
Tasted by sean7711 on 4/15/2019 & rated 91 points: Jeremy (from 1/15) nailed it with his description. Enjoyable wine I had over 2 nights. (1841 views)
Tasted by wynnewood500 on 2/18/2019: Dark color, medium to full bodied. Perhaps a bit to simple fruit flavors. (1532 views)
Tasted by JeremyBernton on 1/16/2019 & rated 90 points: PnP. An old vine field blend of traditional Portuguese varieties. Beautiful port-like nose of sweet fruit, cedar and tobacco. On the palate, this is dark and concentrated, starting out very fruity and oaky,a bit unbalanced. However, at the two hour slow ox mark, this is starting to sing. This is a serious wine that benefits from food with layers of red and black fruit, smoke, graphite, some delicate Asian spices, strong acidity, vanilla, wood and chalky, slightly bitter tannins. Medium- long finish. I think this has tons of potential that will likely reward with more time. I definitely don’t see the 95 Wine Enthusiast rating right now, but not saying this couldn’t get there with more patience. (1608 views)
Tasted by Soche on 11/1/2018 & rated 87 points: Tons of fruit and acid and a little unbalanced. Drink now. (1590 views)
Tasted by AndrewSGHall on 9/28/2018: Good, but conflicted. Super good soulful nice vibe, but gets too elegant for its skin and feel pretentious. Brings back groove and then loses it. Good fruit and structure. Has elements there. Certainly worth a revisit. Good? (1479 views)
Tasted by Cool_Hand_Luke on 5/23/2018 & rated 93 points: Amazing! Tongue staining deep dark dark purple, very fragrant ripe plum and fruit aromas, smooth long taste with a sour-sweet plum finish. This is a cellar keeper (1004 views)
Tasted by repoper on 3/24/2018 & rated 91 points: I don’t know how many of you drink port but the initial smell is port like. You can smell the fresh compact sweet fruit filled with dark berries, brown sugar and charcoal. Perfectly in balance but, to me , it’s to young. Another few years would do this justice. All that being said it paired perfectly with a roast leg of lamb. Great QPR at WTSO. 91+ (2063 views)
Tasted by Rasmussenbrent on 3/13/2018 & rated 92 points: This is drinking amazing right now. Pop and pour. Love this bottle (1941 views)
Tasted by GinsburgCPA on 2/2/2018 & rated 91 points: Needed about an hour to open up but then it really came together nicely. Good aroma and nice intensity of flavor. A bit lacking in complexity or finish but very nicely balanced and overall delicious. (1900 views)
Tasted by Rasmussenbrent on 9/23/2017 & rated 91 points: Still pretty hot. Decanted for an hour and could have used more (2481 views)
Tasted by samsneed on 2/26/2017 & rated 94 points: Fantastic again! Enjoyed with pan seared veal and mixed vegetables. (3597 views)
Tasted by rashcar on 10/27/2016 & rated 90 points: Needs more time in the cellar. Still some heat even after 2 hours of decanting. You can smell and taste the flavors in the background. 92+ in three more years. (3780 views)
Tasted by fats1976 on 10/1/2016 & rated 90 points: Subtle black fruit on the palate, tannins seemed a bit harsh - I think this will benefit from some further bottle age. (3627 views)
Tasted by K&J on 9/12/2016 & rated 93 points: Wonderfully structured and concentrated with blueberry and blackberry notes. Well integrated tannins but allow some time after opening to work out some austerity. (3773 views)
