Tasted by 1saxman on 8/7/2023 & rated 93 points: Silky smooth. Needs an hour-2hour decant to open-then full mouth feel, long soft finish black fruits five spice almond extract-delicious -will improve next 5 years I’m sure-has the structure for it (978 views)
Tasted by jzebrack on 5/3/2021 & rated 96 points: What a treat. Extremely impressive.
Ready to drink now, but we are looking forward to see how it will continue to age and evolve.
I would recommend waiting at least a half hour after opening. The bottle did not last the hour, but the wine did continue to balance out. (3481 views)
Tasted by Dooms on 2/14/2021: 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Cabernet Franc (2924 views)
 Tasted by Mmccarthy3311 on 2/7/2021 & rated 96 points: 96 points (2863 views)
Tasted by Millennial Drinkers on 3/2/2020 & rated 92 points: Third wine at the Napa Valley Vintners SOMM DC.

Medium mix of garnet and ruby red. Restrained and a touch elegant nose with bramble berries, branches, volcanic soil and a bit of cinnamon and anise with air. Medium tannins (7/10) with a medium plus body. Aromatic and structured palate with a dark fruit profile, vanilla, black currants and a gritty texture throughout. Long and dry finish. Drink till 2030.

Made up of 64% Cabernet Sauvignon and 36% Cabernet Franc. (1743 views)
Tasted by FPNova on 1/31/2020: Fred Swan - 97+ points - “...deep ruby in color with a pretty nose of dark flowers, blackberry, savory spice, lavender, bay leaf, red cherry, dry herb, and dark mocha... wonderfully flavorful palate... approachable, yet quite structural.” (3113 views)
Tasted by sdahar on 10/22/2019 & rated 92 points: Tasted at winery with a 2015 and a 2013. The 2016 is ready to drink now with a little air. This is only 36% cab franc and is drinking more like a new world cab which is different than what one expects from Viader. (2223 views)

Red Bordeaux Blend

Red Bordeaux is generally made from a blend of grapes. Permitted grapes are Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and rarely Carménère.Today Carménère is rarely used, with Château Clerc Milon, a fifth growth Bordeaux, being one of the few to still retain Carménère vines. As of July 2019, Bordeaux wineries authorized the use of four new red grapes to combat temperature increases in Bordeaux. These newly approved grapes are Marselan, Touriga Nacional, Castets, and Arinarnoa.

Wineries all over the world aspire to making wines in a Bordeaux style. In 1988, a group of American vintners formed The Meritage Association to identify wines made in this way. Although most Meritage wines come from California, there are members of the Meritage Association in 18 states and five other countries, including Argentina, Australia, Canada, Israel, and Mexico.

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
