Ikke noe å forfølge, men så er jeg ikke på Loire. (311 views) | | Tasted by Max S. on 3/13/2023 & rated 90 points: Nice bottle. Earthy red berries. Exceptional QPR, and glad I held it for a couple years. Good to drink now, expect it to hold for (498 views) | | Tasted by Green Isaac on 3/29/2022 & rated 86 points: Unsure when I had this bottle, but it is a great tipple. Fresh and distinctive, yet light and flirty. Blackcurrant of a fresh kind, bordering on the right side of just mature + forest-bushy herbal aromas akin to a scandinavian blueberry forest (think pine, a bit of pyrazine and wet forest floor). (868 views) | | Tasted by Max S. on 7/14/2021 & rated 89 points: Just a good bottle of wine. Versatile, nice with a chill. Wish I had some BBQ to give this a run. (1121 views) | | Tasted by Elycohn on 6/25/2021 & rated 91 points: Cab Franc tamed so well. Smells like dried sweet Mexican chili and spicy fruit leather. Softens out wonderfully over a few days open. (1162 views) | | Tasted by Paul852 on 8/28/2020 & rated 90 points: This is really rather nice. PnP from cellar temperature. Extremely well balanced, fresh, medium+ acidity, fresh tart red fruit, medium- body, crisp more-ish finish. Pairing beautifully with some goat's cheese with rosemary.
Very good QPR at ~US$16 (1435 views) | | Tasted by RVC_Wine on 8/12/2020 & rated 91 points: Coffee, capsicum, redcurrant, earth, mocha. Med+ acid, med- body, 12.5 alc (1256 views) | | Tasted by AlphaMikeFoxtrot on 6/20/2020 & rated 88 points: Fresh cherries, raspberries, jalapeno pepper. Medium + body, medium + acid that's very nice indeed. Great QPR! (839 views) | | Tasted by GhengisTron on 6/20/2020 & rated 90 points: Fresh cherries, lively acid, Pyrazines, green pepper/jalapeño. Great QPR (1164 views) | | Tasted by Owlbass on 3/30/2020: Herbal, green pepper, smoky, earthy (981 views) | | Tasted by geoffreychambertin on 1/17/2020 & rated 90 points: Fantastic QPR. (830 views) | | Tasted by slywka7 on 12/1/2019 & rated 90 points: Decanted for 1 hour. Aromas of cherry, forest floor, coffee and bell pepper. Flavors of smoke, green pepper, cherry and iron. Ends with an iron and coffee infused finish of 20+ seconds. Haven't drank a straight Cabernet Franc in a long time. This was was interesting though and good for the money. (865 views) | | Tasted by R2-D2 on 11/25/2019 & rated 86 points: WSET Level 3; 11/3/2019-2/3/2020 (San Diego, CA): Medium ruby; Med+ aromatics, youthful. Olives, jalapeno, leafy currant, graphite, medicinal, raspberries. Hints of smokey chocolate aromas. Dry, med body, med alc, med tannins, med+ acid, med intensity, med- finish. Iron, raspberry, tomato leaf, mineral/graphite, maybe some old/neutral oak that throws a touch of toasty wood and vanilla. Lively mouthfeel but falls short on the finish. Good. Drink now, not suitable for aging. (1034 views) | | Tasted by damir84 on 11/21/2019 & rated 83 points: Strävt och gott! Dracks på Copine. (728 views) | | Tasted by SkyCellar on 11/4/2019 & rated 87 points: A very nice wine, but not as good as a bottle of Chais St Laurent La Vigne en Véron that I had last night, which was $10/bottle less expensive. (749 views) | | Tasted by Colinfarmer on 7/24/2019 & rated 85 points: Get again (808 views) | | Tasted by westopherguy on 7/5/2019 & rated 87 points: I'm a huge fan of Olga's Les Picasses, but hadn't seen this base Chinon before. Affordable, and a decent expression. Good for its price point. (812 views) | | Tasted by brooklynguy on 2/28/2019: The problem with this wine is that it shows no sense of place. It's an easy drinking, fruity, balanced, and even delicious wine, although it is very simple, has no finish to speak of, and tails off after a few hours. It doesn't speak of Chinon. For $12, it's a perfectly fine wine to have on the table or to serve at a gathering of people who are not into wine. But it costs $20 and it's by Raffault, one of the best. I understand that in '17 they had a bad time and had to buy grapes and make this cuvee. So with respect. But this is not something on which to evaluate this great producer. (1694 views) |
