It's an easy drinking, fruity, balanced, and even delicious wine, although it is very simple, has no finish to speak of, and tails off after a few hours. It doesn't speak of Chinon. For $12, it's a perfectly fine wine to have on the table or to serve at a gathering of people who are not into wine. But it costs $20 and it's by Raffault, one of the best. I understand that in '17 they had a bad time and had to buy grapes and make this cuvee. So with respect. But this is not something on which to evaluate this great producer. (1694 views) |
