Tasted by larseman on 7/11/2023 & rated 90 points: Frisk, brödig doft med lite bokna äpplen i bakgrunden. Någonting vegetabilisk också, vit sparris kanske. Frisk, syrlig smak, fin mousse och mycket bra längd. (410 views)
Tasted by Racer117 on 7/2/2021 & rated 92 points: Unsure of disgorgement but the color (med. gold) and cork shape make me think this has 10+ years in bottle.

Moderate bubbles within; lively nose of lemon, stonefruit, yeast; fuller mouthfeel with flavors of stonefruit, mushy apple, bread. Alcohol is noticeable.

This wine would represent well in a blind Champagne tasting. (1520 views)
Tasted by bacchus on 1/1/2019 & rated 90 points: celebrating new year's eve at ellen's house. shared with pat, louis, ellen, mario and aurora. the last of many bottles purchased over the years. this bottle was purchased in 2012. still youthful but not as robust as in the past. no oxidation or change in color. fruit. mostly white peach, is receding. modest bubbles. unfortunately, this bottle had been stored upright for some period of time. although the cork was intact and still had ample pressure behind it upon extraction, it is possible that there was some contraction in the past. the wine was enjoyable but not at its best. having survived past traumas, the wine is a good example of the quality coming from the area of franciacorta.  Tasted by maxima on 12/5/2018 & rated 87 points: Sur les pommes cuites et les levures, acidité moyenne
et manque de longueur. (3638 views)
Tasted by bacchus on 6/7/2018 & rated 90 points: served (by me) at Central Jersey CT offline held at Common Lot in Millburn, N.J. shared with doubled1969 and the crew. have enjoyed this product since 2006. this bottle was purchased in april of 2014. the wine has held up very well. still youthful, fresh and vibrant. hints of bread/yeast and apple. not much acidity. persistent bubbles. was enjoyed by all although the bottle was not finished. had remaining two glasses the following day. still showed well despite exposure to oxygen in the bottle over nite. have enjoyed franciacorta sparkling from other producers in recent years. bellavista is still a top contender from this region.  Tasted by MarcEBeaudoin on 7/3/2017: Always a delicious bubble; slight bread notes with plenty of apple and a touch of acid. (4806 views)
Tasted by cephomer on 10/23/2016 & rated 86 points: Drank at WWS tasting. Some apples, some toasty bread elements, and a bit earthy. (5210 views)
Tasted by jlgnml on 6/10/2016: Wine Flock Intro-Retro Blind Tasting (Gary's home outside on the porch, Chicago IL): I was arriving late so I had 2 glasses trusted at me and I was happy after being in the car for 1 1/2 hrs. Nice taste to a nice start of the evening. (4965 views)
Tasted by Burgundy Al on 6/10/2016 & rated 85 points: Chicago Wine Flock...Gary Opens Cali Cab (Chez Weber - Chicago IL): From very large (3L?) bottle, not sure when disgorged. Seemingly mature apple with much more earthy and bready elements. (5412 views)
Tasted by Jona on 5/21/2015 & rated 87 points: Lovely character but a bit short ending (4001 views)
Tasted by isaacjamesbaker on 3/3/2015 & rated 87 points: Vino Nobile di Montepulciano - Bourbon Steak (Bourbon Stea - Washington, DC): Impressive stuff, creamy but tart with flavor of lemon meringue, pineapple cake and green melon, accented with hints of mineral and toasted bread. Wasn't expecting much, but a delicious way to start the evening. (5298 views)
Tasted by lator on 2/20/2015 & rated 89 points: No formal notes. 89-90 points. (4487 views)
Tasted by forceberry on 12/5/2014 & rated 90 points: Can't remember the sboccatura date, but this wasn't the most recent disgorgement, but instead with a year or two extra bottle age. 12,5% alcohol, 10 g/l residual sugar, 6,1 g/l acidity.

Neon green color. Somewhat restrained, a little bit of sweet and overall quite fascinating nose with aromas of yellow stone fruits, some sesame seed oil and a hint of fruit candies without excessive candied sweetness. The wine feels complex and somewhat developed on the palate with dry yet not bone-dry flavors of yellow stone fruits and sweeter tropical fruits, almond paste, some soy sauce, a little bit of apple marmalade, a hint of roasted nuts and a touch of brioche. The wine feels quite gentle with the acidity and the mousse feels very soft, rich and creamy. The finish is ripe and somewhat sweet-toned with long and juicy flavors of sweet exotic fruits, herbal bitterness and some aromatic herbs, some almond paste, a little bit of toasty autolysis and a hint of apple purée and bruised apple.

A rich, nuanced and hedonistic bubbly that feels noticeably richer, fruitier and lower in acidity than a Champagne. However, despite this lack of freshness, this wine doesn't feel any less complex or less impressive than a Champagne, because of its unctuous, layered flavors and sense of harmony. The wine is starting to show some aged complexity and the difference to a more recent disgorgement is noticeable. A great wine for those instances that call for a richer and weightier wine with a lot of depth. Priced according to its quality at 28,70€. (1086 views)
Tasted by Man in Black on 10/29/2014: The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and presence of many small-sized bubbles. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium- intensity aromas of rye bread, bread dough, green apple, lemon peel and hints of cream. The wine is off-dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium body with a creamy mousse. It has medium intensity flavours of rye bread, green apple, lemon peel and hints of cream. The finish is medium(+).

It is a very good quality wine. It has a very nice finish, a decent enough flavour concentration and a good overall balance among all structural componentes. However it could be more complex, and it could have more pronounced intensity flavours. Can drink now, but it has some acidic structure and fruit concentration to develop some tertiary aromas over the next 1-2 years following disgorgement. (4602 views)
Tasted by Wine Expresso on 8/18/2014 & rated 91 points: Dined with WYK old boys at T's Kitchen. I came with a higher hope on this wine than the rest because it is my bottle.
It turned out to be quite fine bubbly, white flower with clean finish.
It doesn't lose to a champagne. (5054 views)
Tasted by gfish on 4/17/2014 & rated 87 points: This was a little lighter and more delicate than I expected. Notes of creamy lemon meringue were prominent with some more subtle notes of baked lemons and golden apple on the finish. The acidity was pretty good and so was the bead. I was hoping for a little more depth and minerality but that was not based on a history with this wine. It is still a good Franciacorta, 87 - 88. (5615 views)
Tasted by Dezel on 1/6/2014 & rated 89 points: Bellavista Franciacorta NV Cuvée (SRP $35): This wonderfully refreshing sparkling wine is composed of 80% Chardonnay and equal parts Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc. It shows pleasant aromas and flavors of citrus blossom, wild flower, almond, subtle ginger tones, and muted spicy yeast rolls. A fine but sparse bead gives way to a racy structure, good texture, and a lingering, refined finish. Overall, this is a moderately complex, food-friendly and affordable sparkler that improves in the glass as it shifts from chilled to cellar temperature. (Other info: ABV 12.5%, Ferments and ages for 7 months in small oak barrels.)

Tasted by SiR on 1/3/2014 & rated 86 points: 12.5% (disgorged in 2013) - Clear - very effervescent, pale lemon with hint of green / clean, low intensity - citrus (lemon), tangerine, a touch of yeast, white flowers / dry, med acidity, light body, med- intensity, med to short length. In finesss, but pretty unidimensional (4176 views)
Tasted by bacchus on 12/25/2013 & rated 91 points: served for christmas dinner at selkirk manor. shared with pat, ellen, giulio, frankie and grandpa pomponio. this was better than the bottle we had from the same purchase last year. very fresh and youthful. vibrant. white fruit. nice acidity. a hint of yeast. small persistent bubbles. love this wine.  Tasted by Ludi on 7/1/2013 & rated 85 points: Paglierino intenso con perlage fine, abbondante, persistente. Al naso classiche note di fiori di campo, fieno, agrumi, crema pasticcera, cenni balsamici. In bocca, cremosa, il dosaggio è forse un pò troppo spinto, a scapito della freschezza (3553 views)
Tasted by dzitt on 4/28/2013 & rated 87 points: Le vin est assez pâle. (3814 views)

Bellavista

Producer website
The last three paragraphs of a lenghthy article by Elenora Scholes on her site "", the article entitled "Bellavista: exceptional details (fine) wines №3 winter 2007-2008"

"Bellavista range consists of five sparkling wines. The flagship Cuvee Brut, Chardonnay dominated with 20% of Pinots, is followed by vintage Gran Cuvee Brut. Here the amount of Pinot Nero is increased to 28%. Other wines also come from specific vintages. Gran Cuvee Saten — is the equivalent of the Blanc de Blancs champagne, it is aged only in barrels and demonstrates the feminine side of Chardonnay. Gran Cuvee Brut Rose is obtained by short maceration of Pinot Nero on skins, it consists of approximately equal parts of Pinot and Chardonnay. Finally,Grand Cuvee Pas Opere — a classic, fundamental cuvee with the Chardonnay base (65%), the harvest is picked from the oldest vineyards.

Curious nuances are found in the design of bottles. A stylishly laconic shape of bottles, in the spirit of the best Italian design, was created by Vittorio Moretti. If you carefully look at the wire ring at the neck of the bottle, you notice that it is turned up over the capsule. A small thing, but the capsule has to be put by hand. Attention to details is crucial at all stages of production.

Rounded and impeccably balanced sparkling wines of Bellavista are a true pleasure for those who drink them. The difference between the styles, though, allows finding individual gastronomic partners for each wine. Cuvee Brut will be best suited to light snacks and canapes, while Gran Cuvee Brut will make a good match with white meat and fish with sauce. Sumptuous Gran Cuvee Pas Opere demands refined gastronomic partners such as oysters and fish carpaccio, and Gran Cuvee Brut Rose will be excellent with fresh berry desserts. Gran Cuvee Saten is probably best left without food — the wine is self-sufficient. The same can be said about well aged vintage Bellavista wines. After 10-15 years of life they create most unforgettable impressions."

Nero e Pinot Bianco.
Ha spuma bianca, esuberante e di buona
persistenza; perlage fine e continuo.
