Tasted by cono_sur on 11/2/2023 & rated 89 points: Crafted with 54% Syrah, 42% Petite Sirah, and 4% Souzao, this has a fragrant, medium-high intensity nose that is ripe and dark fruited with black plum, blackberry jam, and black raspberry aromas plus gentle oak spice and sweet vanillin notes. It's medium-full bodied with very ripe, sweet dark fruit, blackberry jam, black plum, and grapey flavours accented with black pepper spice, gentle oak, and touches of savoury earth. Fresh acidity tempers the slightly sweet flavour profile, while the broad, creamy tannins are smooth and refined. The dark berry and jammy flavours continue through to the long, gently woody finish.

Tasted by _Al_Gore_Rhythm_ on 10/7/2023 & rated 89 points: Supermarket wine, right?

Big, plush red with moderate tannins and moderate acidity. Relatively full in body. Lots of red and blue fruit, light coffee, and some baking spices. A little spicy and just a touch hot.

Again, supermarket wine, but really good supermarket wine for the price. No one is buying this to contemplate over a glass. It's just delicious and great for what it is. (278 views)
Tasted by lpettet on 2/2/2023 & rated 85 points: this M David wine wasn't liked by my taste buds. Other MD wines were good. May not try my luck again.... (466 views)
Tasted by dmitchell4 on 10/25/2022 & rated 89 points: PAP yuck. After an hour in glass acceptable inexpensive Cab at BOGO deal. Would not pay full retail. Better cabs at that price.
Their Petit Petit however is often on sale and a surprisingly good value for everyday red. IMO (579 views)
Tasted by Wstinson9 on 9/1/2022 & rated 89 points: Dark and fruity but seems to have a bit too much alcohol. Good value for the price. (552 views)

USA

American wine has been produced since the 1500s, with the first widespread production beginning in New Mexico in 1628. Today, wine production is undertaken in all fifty states, with California producing 84% of all U.S. wine. The continent of North America is home to several native species of grape, including Vitis labrusca, Vitis riparia, Vitis rotundifolia, and Vitis vulpina, but the wine-making industry is based almost entirely on the cultivation of the European Vitis vinifera, which was introduced by European settlers. With more than 1,100,000 acres (4,500 km2) under vine, the United States is the fourth-largest wine producing country in the world, after Italy, Spain, and France.

California

2021 vintage: "Unlike almost all other areas of the state, the Russian River Valley had higher than normal crops in 2021, which has made for a wine of greater generosity and fruit forwardness than some of its stablemates." - Morgan Twain-Peterson
