Tasted by LWI on 3/20/2024 & rated 93 points: A point (539 views)
Tasted by Ramberg on 2/17/2024 & rated 94 points: Wow!
Nose is fantastic, pure with loads of minerals, bready, white stone fruits, expresso coffee, fine oak vanilla spices, honey, some oxidized yellow apples,
Palate is perhaps even better – or rather fantastic – lots of bright citrus fruits with minerals, some honey, touch of vanilla, toast, bruised apples.
Very complex and very deep.
Superb acidity and overall balance.
This is a truly great 2008 Blanc de Blancs that has begun a long and interesting journey – among the best grower Champagnes I have tasted from this vintage.
Outstanding! (132 views)
Tasted by Patrik H on 2/13/2024 & rated 93 points: Since I think this one is in a nice window did I try it again...

On the nose: Mineral, caramelized white chocolate, toffee, citrus, brioche.
On the palate: Honey, caramelized citrus, brioche, pistage paste, mineral with a high acidity.
Long finish (592 views)
Tasted by Patrik H on 2/2/2024 & rated 93 points: Wow, what a beauty at the moment.
On the nose: Mineral, coffee, vanilla, citrus, brioche and stone fruit.
On the palate: Caramelized citrus, brioche, some marzipan, mineral and with a palpable acidity.
Long finish (594 views)
Tasted by BAJRiley on 12/25/2023 & rated 94 points: In my last note in 2020 I suggested leaving it another 5-8 years. I only lasted 3 but this is drinking very well now - glad I didn't wait longer.

Appearance: bright, mid gold, slight straw tinge. Fine beading.

Nose: Intense and complex. Stone fruits, some restrained citrus and baked bread notes, cashews, a little spice and whiff of smoke.

Palate: rich mouthfeel. Marzipan, stonefruits, hint of honey and toast. Good acidity for its age. Well balanced. Lingering finish. Excellent. (685 views)
Tasted by LWI on 10/8/2023 & rated 94 points: Vinøs hyttetur 2023: Blind. Vinøs, kompleks, rik stil - men balansert. En strålende vin og fantastisk QPR. (986 views)
Tasted by aquacongas on 8/22/2023 & rated 93 points: not blind
Very balanced 2008. Exotic fruits, some waffles. Staring to reach his peak but no hurry for the next 5 years. Refreshing acidity. 93 (1299 views)
Tasted by rSyver on 2/24/2023 & rated 91 points: More mature than my last bottle, but still maturing in my book. More harmony in the wine now, the acidity better integrated. Good length! (1112 views)
Tasted by MWiking on 2/5/2023 & rated 95 points: Den här champagnen blir bara bättre och bättre. klockren mognadsfas just nu. 95-96 (1061 views)
Tasted by Vanja1 on 11/6/2022 & rated 91 points: Fortsatt tight og syredreven med potensiale. Må bare ligge.
Etter flere dager med stopper på flasken var vinen kledelig utviklet med fine aromaer av aprikos, marsipan, honning og lett oksiderer søte epler.
En helt annen opplevelse. Nå 93 poeng. (1294 views)
Tasted by SineQuaNon on 9/23/2022 & rated 93 points: In a very good place (1345 views)
Tasted by Jeongyahn on 6/8/2022: Great Champagne
Nice Price (1581 views)
Tasted by Hildo Schulz on 1/23/2022 & rated 94 points: Drank this 4 years ago and boy how well it’s evolved. I believe this is how good a champagne can be at this price level. A extremely powerful marzipan and toast on the nose and palate. Still a biting acidity in a good way. After a while in the glass lots of red apples, lime and pineapple appears. The balance of the champagne is almost perfection. I believe this will be even better in 4-10 years. The mousse is Good with quick small bubbles. I love this champagne and wish I had more then the 4 bottles in my cellar. (1944 views)
Tasted by DougLee on 12/26/2021 & rated 90 points: Agree with previous note: young and a bit in need of integration. Biscuit and austere citrus fruit on the tongue with a turn of sweetness on the finish. (1855 views)
Tasted by hargy on 12/26/2021 & rated 90 points: quite raw, this needs more time and quite a lot of it (1709 views)
Tasted by rSyver on 12/22/2021 & rated 92 points: Stands out as mature, perhaps still some way to go, however this really shines at the moment. The mineral footprint is exquisite, good length and the acid backbone is solid yet in balance. This is great to consume now or for a long time going forward. Paired with proper food this will shine even more. (1635 views)
Tasted by huevosconvino on 11/26/2021: No disgorgement date or dosage listed on label/cork; online research suggests 4 g/L dosage, which is within range for this extra brut wine. Potent lemon curd flavors at first, with apples, pears, and a hint of honeycomb lurking in support. After about 5-10 minutes of air time, this wine is focused and tasty. Quick, precise finish that belies the relatively low dosage. Reminds me of a vintage Pinot Meunier in its balance of orchard fruit and austere, clean finish. Refreshing and quite enjoyable.  Tasted by MWiking on 8/15/2021 & rated 95 points: Denna champagne är verkligen hur bra som helst. Ångrar bittert att jag inte köpt mer än en låda av 2008orna (1792 views)
Tasted by Rixon on 6/13/2021 & rated 93 points: Nu har den här champagnen hänt. (1846 views)
Tasted by LWI on 5/17/2021 & rated 94 points: Vibrant and already nuanced, very good grip (1921 views)
Tasted by MWiking on 1/1/2021 & rated 93 points: starting to mature, really nice to drink now. (2326 views)
Tasted by hajoha on 12/6/2020 & rated 93 points: Guy Charlemagne Mesnillesime 2008.
Vakker på duft med strålende intensitet.
Noe mer modning i frukten enn sist flaske, men ingen hast likevel.
Avdempet behagelig mousse.
Laserpresis i anslaget.
Meget intens med dirrende syrespill.
Flott konsentrasjon og meget fast i fisken.
Drikker bra nå, men tåler mer tid.
Sitter lenge med superb mineralitet.
Meget bra vin - perfekt til østers. 93p (2348 views)
Tasted by 1W2T on 11/25/2020 & rated 90 points: A great wine BUT it to early to drink this now, to high acidity for my taste and I love a crispy champagne ordinary! (1949 views)
Tasted by BAJRiley on 9/4/2020 & rated 93 points: Pale yellow, bright. Very fine beading. The nose is complex and nicely perfumed, with lemon, apple and some hints of spice and honey. Palate: concentrated but elegant and refined, with fresh acidity and nice texture. Great long finish. Sometimes I find Blanc de Blancs a bit sharp, perhaps with too much acidity. That's not the case here, with everything in great balance and with great precision. Excellent. I agree with the community drinking window, okay now but I'd leave it another 5-8 years. (2015 views)
Tasted by fingers on 8/22/2020 & rated 93 points: Light gold color, tiny and somewhat sparse bubbles. Medium-intense nose that reminds me of being in a Dutch bakery, with lemon tarts and peach pies. The palate is rich and delicious, like just about everyone else says here, and the fantastic acidic spine doesn't let up through the nice long finish. Already showing the character and depth of nicely aged bubbly and a tangible step up from the $30-$50 tier of champers.

France - When it comes to wine, France stands alone. No other country can beat it in terms of consistent quality and diversity. And while many of its Region, Bordeaux, Burgundy and Champagne most obviously, produce wine as rare, as sought-after and nearly as expensive as gold, there are just as many obscurities and values to be had from little known appellations throughout the country. To learn everything there is to know about French wine would take a lifetime. To understand and appreciate French wine, one only has to begin tasting them. Sub-Region:

Champagne - The French region of Champagne (including the cities of Rheims, Épernay, and Aÿ) was the first region in the world to make sparkling wine in any quantity. Today, the name of the region is synonymous with the finest of all sparkling wines, and wine-making traditions of Champagne have become role models for sparkling wine producers, worldwide. Surprisingly, the region of Champagne is now responsible for only one bottle in 12 of all sparkling wine produced. Styles of champagne range in sweetness ranging from an extra brut or brut 0, to the basic brut to demi sec to doux; some houses produce single vintage champagnes and others produce non-vintage (or incorporate wines/grapes of multiple vintages), often to preserve a specific taste; combinations of grape varietals; and colors, including a rosé. There are several sub-appellations, including the Valley of the Marnes river running from Épernay west, Massif de Saint-Thierry north and west of Rheims, Valley of the Ardre, the Mountains of Rheims (between Rheims and Épernay), Côte des Blancs, Côte de Sézanne, and Côte des Bar in the South. Champagne wine only uses three grape varietals (cépages): Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
